"TO HEAL A NATION WE MUST FIRST HEAL THE INDIVIDUALS, THE FAMILIES, AND THE COMMUNITIES."

-ART SOLOMAN, ANISHINAABE ELDER

We rightfully acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the ancestral territory of the

Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibwe, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. We are grateful to work, learn and live in this area.

HEALING STARTS HERE

With over 15 years of experience in supporting and educating families, Dana (she/her) is well acquainted in the mental health field. She successfully balances a fulfilling career with her personal aspirations, having been with her husband for 20 years and taking pride in her role as a mother of two.

SURVIVING TO THRIVING

Through Dana’s work, she recognizes the insurmountable pressures put on parents and families today. With family wellness being the cornerstone of our community and society as a whole, quality and integral care have never been more important.

Family wellness begins with supporting parents first to set the foundation for a healthy home and connected relationships, then working with all members to ensure wrap-around care.

Embracing our emotions, rather than avoiding them, can serve as a catalyst for change. It is during these challenging moments that we uncover our capacity to adapt, evolve, and break the generational cycles.

BACKGROUND

Dana is a skilled professional with comprehensive experience in frontline work, providing therapeutic support to those who have experienced trauma, mental health, and family conflict.

Beyond her clinical work, she has developed psychoeducational curriculum, behavioural intervention plans, and facilitated groups aimed at supporting child development and parenting, with a focus on child and adult ADHD.

APPROACH

Dana centers her practice through an understanding of attachment and family systems theories. Dana believes that working with parents first is the best approach to children's mental health and family well-being.

She combines evidence-based knowledge of child development and attachment with therapy so that parents can cultivate connection and fulfillment back into their life, marriage, and home.

Her work is trauma-informed, and she believes that therapy should be relatable, authentic, and honest.
